Dr. Bruce J. Markovitz is a skilled ophthalmologist with a deep passion for providing exceptional eye care. His expertise extends to various surgical procedures, including cataract and intraocular lens surgery, as well as laser surgery for conditions like glaucoma, diabetes, and after cataracts.

Dr. Markovitz’s commitment to excellence is evident in his remarkable clinical experience, which ranges from serving as a United States Army Major and Health Clinic Commander at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii to being the ophthalmologist for the prestigious Pennsylvania Ballet.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Markovitz holds the position of Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden. In this role, he plays a pivotal part in training future ophthalmologists from Wills Eye, contributing to the growth and development of the field.
