Understanding Diabetes' Effect on Vision

Diabetes is a complex medical condition characterized by high blood sugar, but its impact extends far beyond your blood glucose levels. It can significantly affect your eyes, often leading to a group of eye conditions collectively known as diabetic eye disease. These conditions result from changes to the blood vessels and tissues in the eye caused by prolonged high blood sugar levels.
